Days before his 21st birthday, William (Mark Webber), a young actor, meets and falls quickly and madly in love with Sara (Catalina Sandino Moreno), a seductive yet skittish singer/songwriter. The film follows William as his affair takes him from a Lower East Side tenement to a Mexican hotel room and through the emotional extremities of passion, rage, and need.
