Jeremiah Sparta (Martin Sheen) has died, and his family comes together for the rituals and festivities of death. This isn't any ordinary family, though: they're Texans. With a good dose of self-effacing humor, a star-studded cast portrays the idiosyncrasies that make Texans unique, for good, bad, or weird. There are money matters to be sorted and fought over, a nervous camel, a spirited old man whose soul just can't seem to lay down and rest. When L'il Sparta is unexpectedly visited by the ghost of his deceased grandfather, the family's darkest secrets -- and most luminous charms -- are revealed.
