Most film crews that visit Antarctica are only there for a few short months over the summer season. Footage for this film has been meticulously gathered for the last 10 years, including 9 winters, isolated from the rest of the world in months of unending darkness and mind numbing cold.
The film shows what it is like to experience a year at the bottom of the planet, through the eyes of the everyday workers who are there to keep the stations running in the harshest place on Earth.
