A disillusioned killer embarks on his last hit but first he has to overcome his affections for his cool, detached partner. Thinking it's dangerous and improper to become involved with a colleague he sets out to find a surrogate for his affections. Red Cliff is a Chinese epic war film from 2008-2009, based on the Battle of Red Cliffs (208–209 AD) and the events at the end of the Han Dynasty and immediately prior to the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China. The film was directed by John Woo, and stars Tony Leung, Takeshi Kaneshiro, 

Zhang Fengyi, Chang Chen, Hu Jun, Lin Chi-ling and Zhao Wei.
